“We can’t make up those that we missed, but we can certainly make sure people get back on track and get those cancer screenings,” said Dr. Scot Ackerman.
When COVID-19 was first announced as a national emergency, cancer screening rates plummeted on a national scale. One year later, those screening rates are on the rebound but are still not at their pre-pandemic rates.
