Navigating the journey of breast cancer can often feel overwhelming. With countless treatment options, emotional ups and downs, and the weight of the diagnosis, it’s easy to feel isolated. That’s where SHINE – Supporting Her IN Every Way – comes in. This interactive support group is designed to foster an uplifting environment where women can connect, learn, and share their experiences.
A Space for Connection
SHINE is a welcoming space for anyone in the breast cancer community, whether you’re newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, a survivor, or a caretaker. At Ackerman Cancer Center’ SHINE, you’ll find a network of women who truly understand what you’re going through.
Our meetings encourage meaningful conversations while featuring monthly speakers who bring positivity and inspiration. Participants can share their stories, ask questions, and express their feelings, fostering connection and cultivating a sense of belonging that is vital during this journey.
Sharing Support and Encouragement
In our group, encouragement flows freely, whether through shared laughter, heartfelt discussions, or simply being there for one another. We aim to create an inspiring environment that makes attending feel less nerve-racking and more uplifting.

SHINE is held the third Tuesday of every month, 5:30 – 6:30 PM, at Ackerman Cancer Center’s Mandarin location.
