
Dr. Gaelyn Scuderi is a board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship trained in Breast Imaging and Intervention. As the Director of Women’s Imaging at Ackerman Cancer Center in Amelia Island, she manages the Center’s Breast Care Program.
Personalization of the screening process through the identification of women at elevated risk for breast cancer development is critical to Dr. Scuderi. She emphasizes optimizing patient experience during biopsy and multidisciplinary collaboration with her oncology colleagues. “It’s important to me to provide real-time results for diagnostic breast imaging exams, meet with patients personally to explain findings and answer questions, and to provide each patient with a custom plan of care.”
Dr. Scuderi received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, part of the VCU
School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a fellowship in
Breast Imaging and Intervention at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She held a
position as Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Florida. Before that, Dr. Scuderi
proudly served for four years at Naval Station Mayport as General Medical Officer and Senior
Medical Officer for the ships of Destroyer Squadron 14. Dr. Scuderi has also served as the [take

Dr. Scuderi has a passion for cancer prevention and oncology imaging, particularly in the early
detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. In her free time, Dr. Scuderi enjoys staying active
through yoga and Pilates along with walking and running, spending time with her husband and
two children, and trying to catch as many waves as she can on her longboard.
