
Dr. Jaymeson Stroud is a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist at Ackerman Cancer Center. Dr. Stroud received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. He then completed a residency in Radiation Oncology at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University in Saint Louis, MO, during which he was appointed Chief Resident. Following his residency, Dr. Stroud remained in Missouri where he practiced for 13 years and has now recently relocated to Florida.
Dr. Stroud is well published and has an interest in research, most recently providing medical
expertise on a phase IV trial, “Evaluating the Use of Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy for the
Treatment of Prostate Cancer.” He is a firm advocate for breast and lung cancer screening to
promote early detection and awareness. Dr. Stroud further utilizes his medical expertise and
training in creating targeted and personalized treatment plans for his patients, using Proton
Therapy. He is a member of professional organizations including the American Society for
Radiation Oncology.
In his free time, Dr. Stroud enjoys playing and watching all sports, especially pickleball, soccer,
and volleyball. He loves spending time with his family, whether relaxing together at home,
exploring the outdoors, or discovering new adventures. He is actively involved in his church and
previously served for two years as a full-time missionary in French Polynesia, where he
developed an enduring appreciation for the island culture. During this time, he became fluent in
French and Tahitian and built meaningful relationships with the local community through
missionary service, soccer, and volunteer work on black pearl farms.
