Mary Catherine Plymel, APRN received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University, and received her Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Prior to joining the Ackerman Cancer Center team as a Nurse Practitioner, Mary Catherine worked as a nurse on a hospital med-surgery floor for four years and also briefly in a mental health and rehab facility.
She decided to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner to step into a provider role and provide more comprehensive care for her patients.
Mary Catherine, along with other providers and clinic staff, is dedicated to providing high-quality, comprehensive care to cancer patients and their families, helping them navigate the complexities of cancer treatment, manage symptoms, and improve their quality of life.
Mary Catherine is an active member of AANP. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
